In this work, Laura Wennstrom highlights the futility of escaping domestic home life. Life is on pause, nowhere to go. While never having any actual intention of going out on the town for a crazy night of clubbing to escape the relentlessness of life with young children, this is no longer even an option and that feels suffocating.
