Experienced curators Pam Marlene Taylor and Kaylan Buteyn are delighted to select 8 emerging curators for a 13-week program focused on building technical skills, strengthening curatorial concepts, and creating community.

This program is open to all women and non-binary emerging curators. No curatorial experience or education is required, only the desire to promote artists and create something amazing. The cost of this 13 week educational fellowship is $350 (payment plans available). There is a $50 automatic scholarship for women of color, single parents, anyone with chronic illness or disability, the LGBTQIA+ community, and anyone with a household income under 50k. As an additional offset, each curator will have the opportunity to collect a curatorial percentage of 20% of any artwork sold from their online exhibition with us.
The program will begin on January 18th, 2021 with a Monday evening Zoom class and repeat every other week for 12 weeks (dates below) followed by an additional “one on two” week with Kaylan and Pam later in the year.
Fellows will receive:
-Six 60-90 minute Zoom sessions enriched with lectures, panels, and dialogue.
-Project based assignments correlating with the bi-weekly topics.
-The opportunity to build community and engage in casual conversation with the group via the video messaging app Marco Polo.
-Feedback and reviews of curatorial projects given throughout the fellowship.
-By the end of the fellowship, each curator will have developed an exhibition pitch which will be put out on Stay Home Gallery’s social media platform as a call for art. Each curatorial fellow will have an additional “one on two week” with Kaylan and Pam in 2021 to select the artists who apply to the call for art to complete their virtual exhibition to be displayed on the SHG website and Instagram.
